LAUNCH COMPLEX 23/24 FACT SHEET

By Cliff Lethbridge

Launch Complex 23/24 was never built and its numbers were assigned to the sea-based version of the Army’s Jupiter missile. The program was canceled in 1956 prior to the completion of Launch Complex 23/24. The facility would have had its own blockhouse and would have been located southeast of Launch Complex 1/2. The complex appears in maps and plans seen below. Note that a flat launch pad designated Launch Pad 24 was built in support of Snark missile operations and was located southeast of Launch Complex 1/2. There were never any launches from Launch Pad 24.
