LAUNCH COMPLEX 42 FACT SHEET

Launch Complex 42 was never built. Its number was assigned to the Titan III program. The facility is on the map below and would have been located on an island west of Launch Complexes 40 and 41. The launch complex would have required a long extension of the ITL Causeway and railway to the west which would have been extremely expensive. Given the high cost and the relatively infrequent number of Titan III launches scheduled from Launch Complexes 40 and 41, Launch Complex 42 was considered unnecessary.
