Eliminating the third stage motor, the Delta G was simply an optional two-stage version of the Delta E. Just two Delta G vehicles were launched from Cape Canaveral. The first carried Biosatellite-1 into low-Earth orbit on December 14, 1966. The second Delta G launched from the Cape carried Biosatellite-2 into low-Earth orbit on September 7, 1967.
